Petie Penguin goes to PVP is a social story written and illustrated by Kate Liston-Mills and her youngest son River Mills about a fictional penguin who visits Pambula Village Preschool (PVP). The book is a fun way to help new families navigate the transition process, to feel familiar with the physical landscape of PVP and to learn the routine of each day. There are two finger puppets (Pa Penguin and Petie Penguin) that accompany the school’s book and its reading of it. There is also a third plastic, weather-proof penguin called Pook-Pook who likes to hide in the pages of the book and around the playground of PVP. Kids can take turns hiding Pook-Pook during each reading.
